Delmar Grad Departs Saudi Arabia

Army National Guard Spec. Thomas F. Nichols has departed from Eskan Village, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where the soldier provided force protection for U.S. forces.

The soldier assisted in providing around-the-clock security surveillance, patrols and police support at the Army Forces Central Command-Saudi Arabia site.

The returning reserve component soldier is a member of either the 153rd Military Police Company based in Delaware City, Del., or the 28th Military Police Company based in Pennsylvania. 

While at Eskan Village, the soldier performed and accomplished duties of a force protection team member.

Nichols is a military policeman and has been in the service for three years.

He is the son of William H. and Bobbie Y. Nichols of Delmar, Del. His wife, Tracy, is the daughter of Charles Winter Moyer of Salisbury, Md., and Pamela J. Holloway of Seaford, Del.

The specialist is a 1994 graduate of Delmar High School.
