Herritage Deployed Overseas

Air Force Capt. Allen Herritage has deployed overseas to a forward operating location to support the mission of Operation Enduring Freedom.
Enduring Freedom is the official name given to anti-terrorism military operations involving U.S. troops and allied coalition partners. 

Reserve component members from all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces have been mobilized, activated and deployed along with active duty members to support the war against global terrorism. 

Mission objectives encompass combating the international terrorist network or regime forces outside the borders of the United States. U.S. troops serve in South Asia, the Arabian peninsula, islands in the Pacific, and in numerous other countries.

The captain, a public affairs officer, is the son of Jim and Nancy  Herritage of Parkway Drive, Mount Pleasant, S.C.
His father and mother-in-law, Don and Lorna Hearn, reside in Georgetown, Del.

Herritage graduated in 1993 from Wando High School, Mount Pleasant, and received a bachelor's degree in 1997 from The Citadel, Charleston, S.C.
