Photos: The Coastal Music and Arts Festival raises thousands of dollars for Lord Baltimore Elementary School through children's activities, food and crafts.
![]() The event is the Lord Baltimore PTO's major fundraiser, bringing in thousands of dollars for school equipment and programs each year. The festival features local entertainment, including students and more experienced performers. A wide array of local crafters offered everything from fabric creations to hand-blown glass objects. The festival also offers a number of children's activities, from pony rides and crafts to face-painting and amusements such as a moonbounce and barrel train. Included this year were Cape Henlopen State Park's Seaside Nature Center and the Center for the Inland Bays. Nate Zimmerman, from the Seaside Nature Center, brought his collection of snakes, and Master Gardener Ingrid Hetfield fielded questions on insects while visitors checked out her collection of bugs and butterflies. © Copyright 2003 by YourSITE.com |

The school's Environmental Learning Center, a parent-maintained outdoor education area with water gardens, an amphitheater and a pumpkin and sunflower garden, hosted a number of exhibits by area organizations.
