Milford 63, Woodbridge 16

The Bucs rolled to a 26-1 lead after one period and never looked back in the Henlopen Conference Southern Division victory on Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2004.

Milford didn't allow Woodbridge to reach double figures in any quarter and held the Raiders to only 4 points in the third period and 2 points in the fourth.

George Downing and Tim Pitts paced four Bucs in double figures with 15 points apiece. Also in double figures were Derek King with 13 points and Lamarr Shorts with 10 points.

The Bucs are now 2-3 in the South and overall.

Laurel 59, Milford 48

The Bucs stayed with the Henlopen Conference Southern Division leaders until the fourth quarter on Thursday, Dec. 18, 2003.

Milford trailed Laurel 34-32 after three quarters but was outscored 25-16 in the final period to fall to 1-3 in the Henlopen South and overall.

Derek King led the Bucs with 11 points, while Nehemiah White added 10.

Milford 65, Delmar 45

The Bucs started fast and finished strong for their first victory of the season on Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2003.

Milford bolted to a 20-10 lead over Delmar after one quarter and finished the game with a 17-6 advantage in the fourth period.

Lamar Shorts sparked the win with 18 points as Milford rose to 1-2 in the Henlopen South and overall.

Derek King added 17 points and Stefon Dukes contributed 11.

Lake Forest 72, Milford 68

The Bucs rallied in the fourth quarter but fell short in a Henlopen Conference Southern Division defeat in their season-opener on Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2003.

Milford trailed 53-44 entering the fourth quarter after being outscored 26-19 in the third period.

The Bucs, who finished with 6 three-pointers from six different players, were led by George Downings and Lamar Shorts with 19 and 18 points, respectively.

Milford shot just 10-for-23 from the foul line, while Lake connected on 15 of its 20 free throws.
