2003-2004 Seaford Boys' Basketball Schedule

Cape Henlopen 78, Seaford 65

The Blue Jays stayed close in the Henlopen Conference Northern Division game before falling apart in the fourth quarter on Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2004.

Seaford led Cape Henlopen 57-55 entering the fourth quarter but was outscored by 15 points in the final stanza.

Tykee Williams led the Blue Jays' effort with 17 points, including five three-pointers. Jeremy Palmer canned 14 points and Bacon contributed 13 more.

With its second straight loss, Seaford is now 2-3 in the conference and 2-5 overall.

Hodgson 54, Seaford 46

The Blue Jays dropped the championship game of the A.I. DuPont Tiger Tipoff Classic on Monday, Dec. 22, 2003.

Seaford beat A.I. DuPont in the first game of the tournament on Dec. 8. The tournament final was postponed by snow.

The Jays overcame a terrible first quarter but after scoring only 4 points in that period, rebounded for a 25-22 halftime lead.

Hodgson, however, took a 36-35 lead into the fourth period and maintained control from there.

Seaford was led by Keenan Bacon and Jeremie Palmer with 12 and 10 points, respectively.

Seaford 57, Sussex Central 54

The Blue Jays put together a strong first quarter and held on from there for the Henlopen Conference Northern Division triumph on Thursday, Dec. 18, 2003.

The win snapped a three-game losing streak for Seaford, which rose to 2-2 in the North and 2-3 overall.

Seaford jumped ahead of Sussex Central 13-4 after the first quarter and held on behind Jeremie Palmer and Keenan Bacon. Palmer finished with 21 points and Bacon with 15.

Caesar Rodney 88, Seaford 61

The Blue Jays suffered their third straight loss with the Henlopen Conference Northern Division defeat on Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2003.

Jeremie Palmer and Tykee Williams led the Jays with 15 and 12 points, respectively.

Seaford is now 1-2 in the conference and 1-3 overall.

Dover 79, Seaford 64

The Blue Jays suffered their second straight loss in their Henlopen Conference Northern Division opener on Friday, Dec. 12, 2003.

Seaford stayed close, trailing just 35-31 at halftime, but Dover took command with a 22-14 advantage in the third period.

Jeremie Palmer led the Jays with 16 points. Tykee Williams contributed 14 points and drained 4 of the Jays' 9 three-pointers. Ron Cox and Matt Holland added 9 points apiece.

Seaford is now 1-2 overall.

William Penn 77, Seaford 57

The Blue Jays suffered their first loss with a nonconference defeat on Wednesday, Dec. 10.

Seaford led 17-11 after the first quarter and trailed just 35-33 at halftime but William Penn outscored the Jays 17-8 in the third quarter to take control.

Michael Briggs hit 4 three-pointers en route to 18 points for Seaford, while Jeremie Palmer added 17 points and Tykee Williams contributed 11. Williams and Palmer each knocked down 2 three-pointers.

Seaford 78, A.I. DuPont 67

The Blue Jays opened their season with a nonconference win in the first round of the A.I. DuPont Tiger Tipoff Classic on Monday, Dec. 8, 2003.

Postponed from last weekend, the Jays will play the championship game at a time and date to be announced.

Against A.I., Seaford took control in the third quarter with a 20-12 advantage and then held on during a frantic fourth quarter in which the teams combined for 62 points.

Jeremie Palmer sparked four double-figure scorers for Seaford with 24 points including a three-pointer.

Also in double figures were Keenan Bacon with 14 points, Ron Cox with 11, and Matt Holland with 10. Tykee Williams and Michael Briggs added 9 and 8 points, respectively.
