The Blue Jays built an insurmountable lead in a season-opening nonconference victory on Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2003.
Seaford rolled to a 42-15 lead with only three matches remaining on the strength of five pins and a forfeit.
After falling behind 6-0 after the lead-off 130-pound match, the Blue Jays won five consecutive matches, including pins by Herbert Raymond at 145 and Mike DiCarlo at 152 and a forfeit at 160.
After Stephen Decatur pulled within 24-9 with a decision at 171, the Blue Jays traded a pin by Bobby Drayton at 189 with another Stephen Decatur pin at 215 to make it 30-15.
Seaford then put the match out of reach with consecutive pins by Trey Vann at heavyweight and Myron Thomas at 103.
B.J. Jenkins won by decision in overtime at 135 and Kyle Kilgoe by decision at 140 to tie the match 6-6 for the Jays.
