Woodbridge 49, Milford 48
The Blue Raiders snapped their losing streak in dramatic fashion with a come-from-behind victory on Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2004.
Woodbridge trailed Milford by 8 points entering the fourth quarter of the Henlopen Conference Southern Division contest but stole the win with an 18-9 advantage in the final period.
In rising to 3-4 overall, Woodbridge rode the hot hand of Brittany Kilgoe, who scored 25 points. The Raiders sank 14 of their 25 foul shots.
Laurel 43, Woodbridge 38
The Blue Raiders dropped their second straight game to finish fourth in the Bulldog Invitational on Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2003.
In falling to 2-4 overall, the Raiders led by 8 points in the second half before Laurel rallied to outscore the Raiders 19-13 in the fourth quarter to pull out the win.
Woodbridge was led by Rayna Horsey and Brittany Kilgoe, who scored 14 and 13 points, respectively. Kilgoe nailed two three-pointers.
Dickinson 42, Woodbridge 31
The Blue Raiders dropped below .500 with the loss in the first round of the Bulldog Invitational on Monday, Dec. 29, 2003.
Woodbridge fell behind 19-6 after the first period and 28-13 at halftime and couldn't recover.
Neal and Hughes led the Raiders with 8 points apiece. Woodbridge is now 2-3 overall.
Woodbridge 37, Indian River 33
The Blue Raiders hit the .500 mark for the first time in at least five seasons with the Henlopen Conference Southern Division triumph on Friday, Dec. 19, 2003.
In rising to 2-2 overall, the Raiders continued to recover from a four-year losing streak that stretched from Feb. 15, 1999, to Feb. 11, 2003. The Raiders ended that skid with a win over Laurel in that Feb. 11 game.
Against Indian River, the Raiders put three players in double figures, with Brittany Kilgoe leading the way with 11 points including a three-pointer. Rayna Horsey and Tiandra Felix added 10 points apiece.
Woodbridge trailed the Indians 15-10 after the first period but clamped down to allow IR only 2 points in the second period and 6 in the third period to grab a 29-23 lead going into the final quarter.
Woodbridge 59, Laurel 50
The Blue Raiders earned their first victory of the season with a come-from-behind win on Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2003.
Woodbridge scored only 9 points in the third quarter to enter the fourth period down 42-33, but they outscored Laurel 26-8 in the final quarter.
Tiandra Felix sparked the comeback with 10 of her 17 points in the fourth quarter. Rayna Horsey scored 19 points and Brittany Kilgoe added 15 including a three-pointer.
The Raiders are now 1-2 overall and 1-1 in the Henlopen Conference Southern Division.
Delmar 56, Woodbridge 45
The Blue Raiders suffered their second straight loss despite a big effort from Brittany Kilgoe on Friday, Dec. 12, 2003.
Kilgoe led Woodbridge with 22 points including 3 three-pointers. Rayna Horsey aided her with 16 points.
The Raiders were within 37-35 after three quarters but were outscored 19-10 by Delmar in the final period.
St. Thomas More 65, Woodbridge 39
The Blue Raiders started their season with a nonconference loss on Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2003.
Woodbridge scored only 4 points in the first quarter and never recovered.
Brittany Kilgoe led the Raiders with 16 points including a three-pointer. Tiandra Felix and Rayna Horsey added 7 and 6 points, respectively.
