THE REHOBOTH BEACH FILM SOCIETY AND THE REHOBOTH BEACH PUBLIC LIBRARY CONTINUE THIRD THURSDAY THEATER, A CHILDREN’S FILM SERIES, ON MARCH 20. The Rehoboth Beach Film Society and the Rehoboth Beach Public Library will continue Third Thursday Theater with a schedule change to the more convenient time of 4:00 PM. Children and their guardians can bring a picnic after school snack to enjoy while watching a children’s film. The next session will take place on March 20, in the Rehoboth Beach Library’s upstairs meeting room. Clever Mulan proves her worth outside of her tradition-bound society when, disguised as a male soldier named Ping, she bravely takes her father’s place in the Imperial Army. Helped by her outrageous guardian dragon, Mushu, and her lucky cricket named Cri-kee, Mulan strives to earn the respect of her fellow warriors and their courageous Captain Shang. Mulan’s adventures lead to a climatic battle atop the Imperial Palace, where her family’s honor and the fate of the Emperor and all of China rests in her hands! At each session, a book that corresponds to the film’s theme will be awarded as a door prize. Admission is a suggested donation of $1 per person to help defray program costs. This program is governed by a MPLC license which prevents the title of the film from being advertised. Third Thursday Theater is a monthly children’s film series that features the screening of an age appropriate film for the purpose of exposing youth to cinematic arts as a means of entertaining, educating, and/or raising awareness of numerous social issues. Third Thursday Theater is held at 4 PM. on the third Thursday of every month in the upstairs community room of the Rehoboth Beach Public Library. Information about each month’s films can always be found in the library on the Third Thursday Theater sign.
