THE REHOBOTH BEACH FILM SOCIETY AND THE REHOBOTH BEACH PUBLIC LIBRARY CONTINUE CINEMA CLASSICS ON MAY 8.
The Rehoboth Beach Film Society and the Rehoboth Beach Public Library continue Cinema Classics at 3:00 PM, on the second Thursday of each month. The next Cinema Classics screening will take place on May 8, in the Library’s upstairs meeting room.
Johnny Weismuller and Maureen O'Sullivan star in this adaptation of Edgar Rice Burrough's popular fable about a giant ape-man who rules the jungle. Adventurous young Jane arrives in Tarzan’s jungle home when accompanying her father to Africa’s ancient elephant burial grounds in search of ivory. Jane is frightened of Tarzan when she first encounters him, but then she becomes strangely attracted to him. When she and her father are captured by savage tribesman, she looks to Tarzan for the rescue! [1932, runtime: 100 min., not rated]
