Our oceanside beach neighborhood is currently in the midst of a 'gate-debate'. Some owners want to see us gated, in hopes of discouraging the cars who do 'beach-drop-offs' onto our 'private' beach. My question is this: If people walk into our neighborhood (perhaps merely walking around the gates!?)armed with their towels, boards, etc., or walk along the beach to wind up on ours.... is there legally anything an owner/neighborhood can do about it?? Would DE. State or local police get involved in that?
I tend to think the answers to these questions are NO, but I'll ask on here......

FYI - My husband and I drove into a "private" community (NOT gated) at one time to see if there were any houses for sale. We were promptly chased out by a security guard.
