Sussex Paramedics |
Recognized by Nanticoke Club Four Sussex County paramedics have been honored as Western Sussex County Paramedic of the Year by the Nanticoke Rotary Club. Honored this year were Don Weber for A Shift, Ronnie Johnson for B Shift, Wayne Jester for C Shift, and Stu Hensley for D Shift. The club honors a paramedic from each of the four shifts in Western Sussex each year. Weber joined Sussex County's Emergency Medical Services department in August 2000 with 13 years of previous EMS experience. The Assistant Chairman of the Public Education and Relations Committee for the department, Weber was honored for his "experience, exceptional patient care, and motivation". Johnson has served with Sussex EMS for 10 years. Johnson has cared for more than 1,000 patients during that time. He attends continuing education and SCEMS and regional seminars. Jester joined SCEMS in November1999. The Quality Assurance Officer of the Haz-Medic Team, Jester writes up quality improvement evaluation reports for the department. He is an active member of the Felton Fire Company as a firefigter and EMT. Hensley joined SCEMS in February 2000. Active in several committees including the Mass Casualty and Equipment work groups, he has received numerous thank you letters from patients. He is also responsible for quality improvement evaluation reports. |
