Council Sets Up Five
Meetings in County

Sussex County Council has scheduled a series of five meetings around the county to hear comments from the general public regarding the upcoming five-year update of the county's Comprehensive Land Use Plan.

Established in 1997, the CLUP must be updated every five years. Council must complete the updating of its current plan by October 2002. Last week, it hired Shafer Consulting to assist county staff in the update process.

All meetings will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. with an "open house" format from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. and a formal presentation at 6 p.m. Oral and written comments will be accepted from audience members after the presentation.
