Meeting in Georgetown
on U.S. Terrorism Bills

Delaware U.S. Senator Thomas R. Carper has scheduled a public town meeting on terrorism bills pending before Congress for Saturday, Nov. 17, in Georgetown.

The meeting will be held from 10 a.m. to noon in the West Complex/Main Conference Room at 9 S. DuPont Hwy.

Carper said he set the meetings up to discuss the bills and hear opinions on the bills from his constituents.

The meeting will include an explanation of the bills before Congress, presentations on the United States' military response to the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on New York and Washington D.C., and the country's preparedness for possible future terrorist activity in the U.S.

The meeting will then be opened up for public input and questions.
