Body of PA Teen
Believed Found

From DNREC ...

A body believed to be that of a Pennsylvania teenager who fell into Indian River Inlet while fishing with his family more than a week ago was found Monday morning, June 12, 2000.

The body, tentatively identified as Lang L. Yang, 16, of Denver, Pa., was found at Delaware Seashore State Park between the old Coast Guard station and Haven Road by a crew from the Delaware Division of Soil and Water Conservation.

A positive identification will be made by the state medical examiner's office.

Discovered at 7:15 a.m., Yang was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kou Yang. He was fishing on the north side rockpiles at the inlet with family and friends on Saturday, June 3, when he fell into the water.

Attempts to rescue the boy failed as he was pulled under the surface. Coast Guard crews, Delaware State Parks rangers, Division of Fish and Wildlife enforcement agents, and Delaware State Police searched for the body for several days to no avail.
