BRIDGEVILLE -- The annual Apple-Scrapple Festival is held in Bridgeville every October. The festival celebrates Apples and Sussex County's favorite breakfast meat, Scrapple, a mainstay of the Bridgeville economy. Sponsored by the Bridgeville Apple-Scrapple Festival, the event features rides, games, live entertainment, dances, scrapple sandwiches and cooking contests, apple dumplings, and unique games with scrapple such as last year's scrapple chunking contest.
