Parade Videos!

July 4 Parade 2000, Bethany Beach, DelawareBethany Beach celebrated July 4, 2000, as it does every Independence Day -- with the area's only July 4 parade.

Grand marshall for the parade was former Bethany Beach Mayor William Collins.

Other dignitaries included Delaware Gov. Thomas R. Carper, U.S. Rep. Michael N. Castle, state Rep. Shirley Price, state Sen. George Bunting, and Junie Cross, Miss Delaware 2000.

As always, the parade featured more than 1,000 kids on decorated bicycles, floats from local businesses and organizations, marching units, and fire trucks.

In the evening, Bethany launched its annual fireworks display. Both events drew tens of thousands of spectators.
