Fog Causes Delays ... Fog Causes Headaches Photos: Dense fog on Indian River Bay on Monday, Nov. 22, 1999. Fog enshrouded Sussex County on Monday, Nov. 22, and Tuesday, Nov. 23, 1999, as schools were forced to delay their openings and cancel some classes for two straight days. Traffic, on land and on sea, was also hindered by the dense fog that blanketed the entire county. Forecasters are calling for cloudy and warm conditions through Thanksgiving with highs near 70 and lows near 50. Temperatures are expected to cool a bit on Thanksgiving Day.
