Thousands of onlookers witnessed the official arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus, marching groups, marching bands from Indian River and Sussex Central high schools and Seaford Middle School, town dignitaries and beauty queens including Kama Boland, Miss Delaware, fire trucks, and numerous floats from local organizations and businesses. The parade started at Allfirst Bank and went up Mitchell Street to Main Street and on to Sussex Central Middle School. The grand marshalls were Millsboro Mayor Lynn R. Bullock and all of Millsboro's town council members. The color guard was presented by American Legion Post 28 of Oak Orchard. The parade was part of the day-long festival planned by the Greater Millsboro Chamber of Commerce. Other activities included an arts & crafts show called Santa's Pak Shopping Spree at the Millsboro Civic Center. The show was sponsored by the Indian River Senior Center. ![]() |
