Lindsey Moore scored the goal for the Golden Knights, who outshot Lake Forest 15-6. Suzanne Baker stopped five shots in goal for SC. Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2000 Smyrna 2, Sussex Central 0 The Golden Knights couldn't generate a goal despite getting off 11 shots. Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2000 Sussex Central 1, Seaford 0 The Golden Knights made Kimmy Bausch's first half goal stand up behind goalie Suzanne Baker. Baker faced 18 Seaford shots and turned back all of them to preserve the shutout. The Knights were outshot, 18-9. Friday, Oct. 6, 2000 Indian River 2, Sussex Central 1 The Golden Knights suffered a difficult defeat at the hands of their district rivals. Kimmy Bausch scored Sussex Central's goal on an assist by Lindsay Moore. Goalie Suzanne Baker stopped 14 shots. Thursday, Sept. 28, 2000 Sussex Central 4, Polytech 1 The Golden Knights outshot Polytech 25-5. Beth Moore and Kimmy Bausch scored a goal and assist apiece to lead the Knights. Jamie Hudson and Holly Kimble added the other goals while Lindsey Moore registered an assist. Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2000 Sussex Central 3, Sussex Tech 1 The Golden Knights, behind the standout goaltending of Suzanne Baker, held off their neighborhood rivals. The Knights got goals from Kimmy Bausch, Meagan Gorman and Beth Moore and an assist from Holly Kimble. Baker stopped 10 of Tech's 11 shots. Sussex Central got off 15 shots. Monday, Sept. 18, 2000 Mt. Pleasant 3, Sussex Central 1 The Golden Knights held an early lead before Mt. Pleasant fired off three unanswered goals to take the nonconference contest. Beth Moore scored Sussex Central's only goal in the first half on an assist from Kim Bausch. Knight goalie Suzanne Baker stopped 10 of Mt. Pleasant's 15 shots. The Knights got off 13 shots and held an 8-3 edge in penalty corners. The Knights fell to 1-1 overall. Mt. Pleasant, ranked 9th in the state, rose to 4-0-1. Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2000 Delmar 3, Sussex Central 2 The Golden Knights nearly upset the state's sixth-ranked team in their season-opener. Beth Moore scored both goals for Sussex Central.
