The Blue Jays scored a goal in each half to subdue a stubborn Tech team and rise to 7-1-1. Shannon Taylor and Ashley Riggleman scored the goals for Seaford with Taylor assisting on Riggleman's goal. Ericca Bell and Rosemary Stevenson combined for the shutout in goal. The Blue Jays controlled the game with a 15-6 edge in shots and a 10-3 edge in penalty corners.
Seaford 2, Smyrna 0
The Blue Jays used Shannon Taylor's two goals to record the Henlopen South triumph. Ericca Bell registered 13 saves for the shutout.
Seaford 4, Polytech 0
The Blue Jays scored all of their goals in the first half to rise to 4-1. Shannon Taylor scored two goals to spark the victory while Ashley Riggelman and Leah Thomas added a goal apiece. Megan Barton assisted on two of the goals.
Seaford 6, Laurel 0
The Blue Jays, behind three goals apiece from Ashley Riggelman and Leah Thomas, improved to 3-1 in the Henlopen South with their third straight shutout. Seaford outshot its rivals 29-14 and used four second half goals in a seven-minute span to break the game open. Shannon Taylor added two assists and Jessica Bloom had another. Ericca Bell's seven saves accounted for the shutout.
Seaford 10, Woodbridge 0
The Blue Jays rose to 2-1 in the Henlopen South and overall with the overwhelming performance. Ashley Riggelman and Shannon Taylor led the way with three goals apiece, while Leah Thomas poked home two more goals. The Blue Jays' other goals came from Jessica Bloom and Megan Barton. Seaford outshot Woodbridge 27-4. Ericca Bell and Rosemary Stevenson combined for the shutout.
Cape Henlopen 6, Seaford 0
The Blue Jays couldn't get untracked as they fell to 1-1 overall and in the Henlopen South with the loss to the state's 9th-ranked team. Rosemary Stevenson and Ericca Bell combined for 15 saves for the Blue Jays, who were outshot 30-5.
Seaford 4, Sussex Tech 1
The Blue Jays used a pair of goals and an assist from Ashley Riggleman to capture their season-opener. Shannon Taylor added a goal and an assist and Leah Thomas knocked in the final Seaford score. Seaford outshot Tech 22-17.
