Sussex Tech 2, Dover 2 (OT) The Ravens' Natalia Alvarez scored two goals -- one in regulation and one in overtime -- in the Henlopen North contest. Alvarez tied the game 1-1 in the second half and then gave Tech a 2-1 lead in overtime before Dover got the tying goal. Both teams posted 11 shots. Cape Henlopen 7, Sussex Tech 0 The Ravens were overmatched by the state's third-ranked team. Tech got only two shots on goal the entire game. Goalie Ashley Hudson had a busy afternoon with 21 saves. Sussex Tech 2, Lake Forest 0 Goals by Meghan Cahall and Natalie Alvarez lifted the Ravens despite Lake Forest's 12-8 advantage in shots. Goalie Ashley Hudson posted 12 saves for the shutout. Seaford 2, Sussex Tech 0 The Ravens fell to 1-6-1 with the loss. Tech was outshot 15-6. Goalie Ashley Hudson registered 11 saves. Delmar 4, Sussex Tech 0 The Ravens couldn't get untracked against the state's fourth-ranked team. Tech was outshot 17-7. Sussex Tech 2, Polytech 1 (OT) Natalia Alvarez' unassisted goal at 5:00 of overtime lifted the Ravens. Alvarez also scored the Ravens' first goal, off of an assist from Kia Fambro, in the first half. Despite the close score, the Ravens dominated the contest with a 28-5 edge in shots. Sussex Central 3, Sussex Tech 1 The Ravens played their neighborhood rivals tough but had a hard time finding the goal. Jenna Tingle scored the lone goal for Tech, which had 11 shots to Sussex Central's 15. Ashley Hudson recorded 8 saves in goal for the Ravens. Sussex Tech 2, Smyrna 2 The Ravens are 0-1-1 after Smyrna forged the tie in the second half. Lauren Humpton and Nicole Orlen scored Tech's goals, while Megan Correll added an assist. Seaford 4, Sussex Tech 1 The Ravens got off 17 shots but could only make one count in a season-opening loss. Jenna Tingle scored Tech's only goal in the second half. |
