But by halftime, the Senators had ripped off three straight touchdowns for a 21-7 halftime lead. The Vikings, however, pulled within 21-14 early in the third period as fullback Larry Miller scored on a 68-yard run to bring the Vikings within 21-14. But Dover, behind split end Jason Lilly, ran off 27 unanswered points. Lilly scored on a 15-yard pass from quarterback Collins Evans and on a 12-yard run to give Dover a three-touchdown lead. Bowers, the state's leading scorer, finished the game with 158 yards on 29 carries. Dover is 9-0 overall and aiming for the Henlopen North championship with a 4-0 division record. The Senators are off next week but must beat rival Caesar Rodney in the season's final game to clinch the title outright. Cape visits Milford on Friday, Nov. 9, at 7:30 p.m. in a Henlopen North game.
