Laurel was unable to match the powerful Division I Senators in a nonconference game.

The Bulldogs jumped out to a 6-0 lead less than three minutes into the game on a 1-yard TD plunge by fullback Jamin Pugh.

But after that, things went downhill as mistakes led to three defensive touchdowns for Dover and set the stage for a big night for standout Dover running back Pierre Bowers.

Bowers finished with 188 yards rushing and four touchdowns. The Senators, meanwhile, scored 22 points in a 21-second span in the third quarter and scored 50 points over the second and third quarters.

The Bulldogs travel to Hodgson on Friday, Sept. 28, for a 7:30 p.m. nonconference contest.
