Seaford trailed just 12-10 at halftime as they scored on a 4-yard run by fullback Brian Batson, who rushed for 106 yards on 24 carries, and a 39-yard field goal by kicker Nick Dunk. Batson also scored on a 3-yard run to pull the Jays within 18-16 after three quarters. The Eagles, however, scored 14 unanswered points in the final quarter for the victory. Seaford travels to Woodbridge for a Henlopen South game on Friday, Oct. 26, at 7:30 p.m. Woodbridge rose to 2-1 in the South and 4-3 overall with a last-minute 20-17 win over Lake Forest on Oct. 19. Smyrna rose to 1-1 in the South and 3-3 overall. Fall 2001 Index | Seaford Index | Sports Index |
