Soccer Preview |
South Championship The Seaford High School boys' soccer team came ever so close to capturing the Henlopen Conference title in 2000 as a late-season loss to Dover cost it the crown. This year's team isn't as experienced as last year's, but head coach Tim Lee enters his 11th season with just as much anticipation of success. The Blue Jays return several top performers from a year ago including high-scoring forward Nick Dunk and goalkeeper Mike Bleile. They will lead a team that also lost some of its top scorers, including Trey Ramey and Steven Saveikis, and goalkeeper A.J. Handy. Following is a capsule preview of the Blue Jays' 2001 campaign. Head Coach: Tim Lee 2000 Record: Henlopen South champions, qualified for state tournament Key Returning Players: Nick Dunk (F), Mike Bleile (GK), Kip Huffman (Def.), Brian Cramer (MF), Garrett Sammons (MF).
