Sussex Tech 14, Milford 10 Photos: Sussex Tech head coach Bill Collick The Sussex Tech High School football team clinched its first winning season under head coach Bill Collick with the Henlopen Conference Northern Division victory.
Fullback Kevin Maull capped an 8-play, 46-yard drive with a 5-yard touchdown run to give the Ravens a 14-10 lead midway through the fourth period. The drive was set up by a blocked punt by Jamil Trott. The Ravens took a 7-0 lead in the first quarter on a 10-yard run by Jamie Tinley, but Milford strung together 10 points in the second and third periods to lead 10-7 entering the fourth quarter. The Ravens visit cross-town rival Sussex Central for a Henlopen North tussle on Friday, Nov. 9, at 7:30 p.m. Sussex Central is 7-1 overall and 3-1 in the Henlopen North after overcoming Caesar Rodney 20-16 on Nov. 2. At 6-2 overall, the Ravens clinched a winning season in Collick's second season after going 1-19 the previous two seasons. Tech is 2-2 in the Henlopen North.
