for Winning Season The Sussex Tech High School field hockey team looks to rebuild this season after losing nine starters to graduation. Among the losses are leading scorer Natalia Alvarez and goalie Ashley Hudson. Despite the losses, though, the Ravens hope to turn last season's 5-8-2 record into a winning season this year behind key returning players like Lauren Humpton and Megan Correll. Head coach Nancy Tribbitt says her team, while young, has displayed the kind of maturity and growth in preseason practice that gives her optimism for the upcoming campaign. Following is a capsule preview of the Ravens' 2001 campaign. Head Coach: Nancy Tribbitt 2000 Record: 5-8-2 (4-7-2 conference) Key Returning Players: Lauren Humpton (link), Melissa Morris (link), Megan Correll (line), Brandi Lewis (back) Key Players Lost: Natalia Alvarez, Kathleen Cross, Jenna Tingle, Ashley Hudson, Harper Cornell, Allison Anderson, Holly Orlando, Kia Fambro, Krista Dukes Key Newcomers: Jaime Townsend (halfback), Laura Wooten (link), Shari Benson (line), Ashley Workman (link) Coach Tribbitt's Comments: "They're very young.
