Woodbridge 27, Milford 0 Photos: Quarterback Jamil Young
Junior quarterback Jamil Young had a big all-around game while Andre Cannon and Emilio Perry paced the Blue Raiders' rushing game as Woodbridge avenged a 14-13 loss to Milford last year. Young threw for 98 yards and two touchdowns, rushed for 61 yards, and returned punts for 58 more yards. He hit split end A.J. Neal on a pair of 40-yard touchdown passes. Cannon led the Raiders' ground game with 138 yards rushing and touchdown runs of 20 and 15 yards. Perry ran for 77 yards as the Raiders rushed for more than 290 yards. "This was a good win for us," said Woodbridge head coach John Parker. "The young offensive line opened big holes." Woodbridge continues its nonconference schedule Friday, Sept. 21, with a 7:30 p.m. contest at Polytech. Woodbridge Index | Sports Index | News Index |
