Caesar Rodney 33, Cape Henlopen 6 The Cape Henlopen High School football team suffered its third straight loss as it fell to 1-6 overall and 1-3 in the Henlopen Conference Northern Division. After scoring 21 points in a win over Seaford, the Vikings have scored only 9 points in their last three games. Cape actually controlled the ball against CR in the first half but couldn't make its way into the end zone. The Vikings ran twice the number of plays as the Riders but still trailed 13-0 at halftime. The Vikings wouldn't score until the last play of the game, when Andrew Edwards raced 75 yards for a touchdown. Cape faces defending Henlopen North champion Dover on Friday, Nov. 8, at 7:30 p.m. The victory raised CR to 3-0 in the North and 5-3 overall. The Riders remained in the hunt for the North title with a game against division-leading Sussex Central remaining on Nov. 8. Cape Index | Sports Index |
