The Indian River High School football team found the going difficult against Milford in a Henlopen Conference Southern Division defeat.

In falling to 4-5 overall and 2-3 in the Henlopen South, the Indians saw a 7-0 lead fall by the wayside as Milford scored twice to pull out the win.

Robert "Peanut" Mitchell gave the Indians that lead on a 6-yard touchdown run.

The Indians will try to finish with their first non-losing season since they went 8-2 in 1998 with a season-ending contest against Smyrna on Friday, Nov. 15, at 7:30 p.m.
