The Sussex Central High School football team rose to 4-0 with a nonconference victory.

In a tough matchup, the Golden Knights used a pair of touchdown runs by fullback Jamil Young and a 26-yard field goal by Justin Collins to subdue the 1-2 Vikings.

Young finished with 65 yards on 22 carries including touchdown runs of 6 and 10 yards in the first half. His 10-yard TD capped a 10-play, 64-yard drive.

The Knight defense caused four turnovers to stifle Christiana and set up Central scoring opportunities.

Defensive back Andrew Weatherly intercepted a pass to set up Young's 6-yard TD run in the first quarter. Christiana then turned the ball over three times in the second half.
