Third in a Row |
Caesar Rodney 51, Seaford 7 The Seaford High School football team lost its third straight in its first season back in the Henlopen Conference Northern Division. The Blue Jays have found the going tough as they face the division's best teams. Since a 21-19 loss to Cape Henlopen in their Henlopen North opener, Seaford has lost to Sussex Central and Caesar Rodney by a combined score of 99-7. The Blue Jays are now 0-3 in the North and 2-4 overall. Against CR, Seaford did get a big night from fullback Aaron White, who became the first running back in the state to top 1,000 yards with 131 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries. It wasn't nearly enough for the Jays, though, as CR rose to 2-0 in the North and 4-2 overall by jumping out to a 30-7 halftime lead. The Jays try to get back on track with a Henlopen North game at Polytech on Friday, Oct. 25, at 7:30 p.m. Seaford Index | Sports Index |
