Milford 2, Seaford 1 The Blue Jays were outshot 20-10 by Milford and didn't score until Jordan Harper found the net late in the second half of the Henlopen Conference defeat. Seaford fell to 5-7 overall. Sussex Tech 2, Seaford 1 The Blue Jays fell to 5-5 overall and 3-4 in the conference with the close Henlopen Conference Northern Division loss. A goal by Brian Chavez tied the match 1-1 in the first half, but Sussex Tech notched the winner later in the half. The Blue Jays trailed 9-6 in shots and 7-2 in corner kicks. Chris Rupp recorded 7 saves in goal. Seaford 3, St. Thomas More 0 The Blue Jays used a balanced attack to rise to 5-4 overall with a nonconference victory. Goals by Brian Chavez, Justin Brooke and Fryling sparked Seaford, which led 18-10 in shots and 6-3 in corner kicks. Fryling had 2 assists and Brooke added another. Goalkeeper Chris Rupp recorded 5 saves. Caesar Rodney 4, Seaford 0 The Blue Jays were blanked in a Henlopen Conference match that evened their record at 4-4 overall and 3-3 in the conference. Chris Rupp recorded 6 saves for Seaford, which trailed 3-0 at halftime. The Jays trailed 23-10 in shots and 4-3 in corner kicks. Seaford 6, Caravel 2 The Blue Jays exploded with four first-half goals on the way to their season-high goal total in the nonconference match. Now 4-3 overall, Seaford got four goals from Tim Gay, including a goal in the first half, when the Blue Jays went ahead 4-1. Also scoring goals for Seaford were Fryling and Brian Chavez. Grant Crouse, Francheschi, Ryan Handy and Fryling all had assists. Jason Rupp had 1 save and Hugo Parker had 3 saves in goal. Seaford led 18-6 in shots and tied 3-3 in corner kicks. Indian River 2, Seaford 1 The Blue Jays suffered a heart-breaking Henlopen Conference loss when the Indian River broke a tight match with a goal at the 76:34 mark. Justin Brooke scored the Blue Jays' goal to tie the match 1-1 at the 15:51 mark of the first half, while goalkeeperJason Rupp recorded 14 saves to keep things close. Seaford was outshot 16-7 and trailed 4-0 in corner kicks. Seaford 3, Smyrna 2 The Blue Jays won their third straight match to rose to 3-1 in the Henlopen Conference and overall. Todd Brooke, Grant Crouse and Doraine Huffman scored a goal apiece for Seaford. The Blue Jays led 9-8 in shots. Seaford 4, Polytech 1 The Blue Jays rolled to the Henlopen Conference victory behind Todd Brooke's two goals and one assist. Now 2-1 in the conference and overall, Seaford also got goals from Tim Gay and Ryan Handy. Gay and Ryan Shockley registered assists. The Jays led 24-11 in shots. Goalkeepers Hugo Parker and Chris Rupp combined for 13 saves. Seaford 2, Lake Forest 1 The Blue Jays won the Henlopen Conference contest on a goal by Todd Brooke in the second half. Brooke scored off an assist from Tim Gay. Brooke assisted Grant Crouse on the Blue Jays' other goal. Seaford had a 32-10 advantage in shots and a 6-1 edge in corner kicks. Goalkeeper Chris Rupp recorded 9 saves. The Blue Jays are now 1-1 in the conference and overall. Dover 5, Seaford 2 The Blue Jays dropped their Henlopen Conference Northern Division and season-opener. The Blue Jays trailed 3-0 at halftime and never recovered as Dover led 18-6 in shots. Todd Brooke and Ryan Shockley scored Seaford's goals in the second half, while goalkeeper Chris Rupp recorded 11 saves. |
