To End Losing Skid |

![]() Sussex Tech 33, Cape Henlopen 3 Sussex Tech quarterback Brandon Hudson (top) and running back Marcus Morris The Sussex Tech High School football took out a season's worth of frustration on Cape Henlopen to end a six-game losing streak. Rushing for 336 yards, the Ravens rose to 2-6 overall and 1-3 in the Henlopen Conference Northern Division after six straight losses by an average of 5.8 points a game. During that skid, the Ravens' worst loss was 17-7 to Caesar Rodney. Their other losses were even more frustrating, as they fell to Philadelphia Public League juggernaut George Washington 14-7, unbeaten Sussex Central 15-7, and Dover 19-15. There would be no nail-biting on Friday night against Cape Henlopen.
After a 42-yard field goal by Cape made the score 13-3 at halftime, the Ravens upped their advantage to 20-3 in the third quarter on a 1-yard run by Kevin Maull. Maull then took in an 11-yard touchdown pass from Morris for a 26-3 lead in the fourth quarter. Shawn Evans finished the Ravens' scoring with a 1-yard run. Leading the rushing attack were Evans and Maull, who finished with 105 and 97 yards rushing, respectively. Tech has this week off before resuming its Henlopen North schedule with a home game against Seaford on Friday, Nov. 8, at 7:30 p.m. Tech Index | Sports Index |
