The Woodbridge High School football team continued to struggle with the Henlopen Conference Southern Division loss.

Now 0-2 in the Henlopen South and 1-4 overall, the Blue Raiders are suffering through their most difficult season since a 1-9 campaign in 1998.

Against Laurel, the Raiders scored on a 40-yard run by Victor Matos and a 39-yard fumble return by Ryan Murray.

Known for their defense during the past three seasons, the Raiders have now given up 40 points twice this year. Laurel's point total is the highest against Woodbridge since 1998.

The Raiders have now lost two straight games to Laurel.

Woodbridge hosts unbeaten Smyrna in a Henlopen South game on Friday, Oct. 18, at 7:30 p.m. Smyrna rose to 5-0 on Friday, Oct. 11, with a 9-0 win over Wilmington Charter.
