The Woodbridge High School football team lost its fourth straight game to fall to 0-3 in the Henlopen Conference Southern Division and 1-5 overall.

Facing the unbeaten Eagles, Woodbridge's Homecoming game was tied 7-7 late in the first half but Smyrna, now 6-0 overall, scored a late first-half touchdown and shut the Raiders out the rest of the way.

The Blue Raiders' first touchdown was set up by a 70-yard kickoff return by LeShaun Allen to the Smyrna 19 following Smyrna's first TD. Fullback Ryan Murray carried twice for 15 of those 19 yards, including the final two for the touchdown.

It was Woodbridge's first loss to Smyrna since the 1998 season. The win moved Smyrna into a tie with Delmar for first place in the Henlopen South at 3-0.

The Raiders host Lake Forest in a Henlopen South contest on Friday, Oct. 25, at 7:30 p.m.
