Lake Forest 37, Milford 6
Milford's inconsistent season ended with a disappointing effort in the annual Bell Bowl game. The Bucs finished the season 2-4 in the Henlopen South and 3-7 overall. A 15-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Ryan Billings to split end Jon Jones pulled the Bucs within 8-6 in the second period but Lake Forest ran off the next 29 points in the annual rivalry.
Delmar 31, Milford 28
Milford suffered its third straight loss on a 47-yard field goal with 11 seconds left by Delmar's Mickey Budd. Robbie Drummond returned the opening kickoff 88 yards for a touchdown and added a 43-yard touchdown run in the fourth period. Bucs' quarterback Ryan Billings scoring on a 1-yard run and running back Vincent Leggins added a 14-yard touchdown run. The Bucs slipped to 2-3 in the Henlopen South and 3-6 overall.
Woodbridge 24, Milford 0
The Buccaneers became Woodbridge's seventh shutout victim of the season as they were officially eliminated from the Henlopen South race. Milford is 2-2 in the South and 3-5 overall.
The Bucs were never in this one as the vaunted Woodbridge defense recorded a safety, intercepted four passes, and held the Bucs to just 15 total yards for the game and minus-31 yards rushing in the second half. The Bucs finished the game with only 2 yards rushing.

Milford 34, Indian River 6
The Buccaneers pulled into a first-place tie with Woodbridge in the Henlopen South. The Bucs are 2-0 in the South and 3-3 overall. Milford started quickly, with Ray White bulling over from the 1 for an 8-0 lead to cap a 27-yard drive started by Ralph Kemmerlin's fumble recovery. The Bucs went up 14-0 on a 2-yard TD run by Derrick Beckett. Beckett also scored on a 40-yard run for a 26-6 Milford lead late in the third quarter. Vincent Leggins rushed for 96 yards including a 58-yard TD run.
Milford 12, Smyrna 7
The Buccaneers became the first team this season to hold standout Smyrna running back Mike Pennewell to less than 100 yards as they upset one of the Henlopen South's pre-season favorites in their division opener on second-half touchdown runs by Vincent Leggins and Robbie Drummond. Drummond scored the game-winner on a 7-yard run with 6:12 left in the game as Milford rose to 2-3 overall. Drummond's TD capped a 30-yard drive started by a 20-yard interception return by Doc Kemmerlin. Leggins scored from 47 yards out on the Bucs' first possession of the second half. Pennewell finished with just 83 yards rushing after entering the contest with more than 800.
Caesar Rodney 50, Milford 0
The Bucs were no match for the state's top-ranked team as they fell to 1-3 overall. Milford trailed 43-0 at halftime.
Milford 12, Sussex Tech 0
The Bucs overcame 11 penalties totalling 105 yards on two long touchdown runs by Vince Leggins and Robbie Drummond for their first win of the season. Leggins' TD went for 45 yards, while Drummond's went for 48. Leggins finished the game with 77 yards on 12 carries. Sussex Tech dropped to 0-4.
Cape Henlopen 21, Milford 12
The Buccaneers hung tough against the two-time defending Henlopen North champions. After falling behind 14-0, the Bucs turned a fumble recovery at the Cape 4 into a 1-yard TD run by J.R. Duffy to make it 14-6. Cape increased the lead to 21-6 in the third quarter, but Milford came within 21-12 on a 2-yard Ray White touchdown run to finish an 11-play, 63-yard drive. An interception with 2:52 left in the game sealed the Bucs' fate.
Dickinson 27, Milford 16
Three lost fumbles and a return of an onsides kick for a touchdown by Dickinson late in the game sealed Milford's fate in its season-opener. The Buccaneers pulled within 20-16 on a 5-yard Robbie Drummond run and a two-point conversion run by Ray White with 2:08 left in the game, but Dickinson returned the ensuing onsides kick 54 yards for a touchdown to put the game out of reach. Drummond and White gave Milford an 8-0 lead early in the game on a 30-yard run and two-point conversion run, respectively. Dickinson, however, scored the next 20 points. Drummond ran for 97 yards on 8 carries in Buc coach Mike Hilligoss' debut. Linebacker Derrick Beckett had 6 tackles and defensive end Flethcher Kenton had 5 tackles and blocked a punt.
