Sussex Countians Take
Sport Fishermen Awards
A number of Sussex Countians were among the 43 anglers awarded citations for the largest catches for 1999 at the Sports Fishing Awards Ceremony on Friday, June 9, 2000.
Sussex Countians honored by the Division of Fish and Wildlife included Tim Gillum of Frankford, who caught a state record 28-inch, 13-pound, 8-ounce Sheepshead.
Other citations were awarded to:
- Bill Sauer, Dagsboro, for a 5-pound, 7-ounce Black Sea Bass
- Tim Sullivan, Delmar, for a 17-pound, 13-ounce Bluefish
- Bill Yost, Lewes, for a 13-pound, 4-ounce Flounder
- Tom Passwaters, Milford, for a 1-pound, 15-ounce White Perch
- Aaron Strausbaugh, Lewes, for a 1-pound, 12-ounce Yellow Perch
- Robert Belk, Bridgeville, for a 5-pound, 8-ounce Chain Pickerel
