Get Rainbow Trout The Delaware Division of Fish and Wildlife will stock Rainbow Trout in Gravel Hill Pond on March 7 and March 21, 2002. The division hopes to stock Gravel Hill Pond on Route 9 west of Georgetown with 250 pounds of 11-inch Rainbow Trout each day. A few larger or trophy size fish will be included in each stocking, which typically occurs around noon. The division cautions that it may have to reduce the number of fish stocked due to lower water levels than normal associated with the ongoing drought. The daily catch limit for trout anglers is six per day. Anglers must have both a freshwater fishing license and a trout stamp. Children ages 12-15 must have a Young Angler trout stamp but are exempt from the license requirements. The division said proceeds from the sale of trout stamps will be used for next year's stocking program. Licenses and trout stamps can be purchased through the mail using the form on the Division's web site. |
