2001 JuCo World Series Team Bus Returning on Saturday, June 2, 10 p.m. Series Recap Related Links | DelTech Schedule | DelTech Recap The Delaware Technical & Community College-Owens campus has planned several special events to recognize the baseball program's first Junior College World Series championship. The Roadrunners, who captured the 2001 crown with a 3-1 victory over Phoenix (Ariz.) College on Thursday, May 31, will return to a heroes' welcome in Georgetown at the DART bus stop near the school's Shipping and Receiving building on Saturday, June 2, at 10 p.m. The public is invited. Also planned is a Roadrunner Party on Thursday, June 14, beginning at 6 p.m. in the Student Services Center. The school will formally recognize the players at that party and present them with their championship shirts. Refreshments will be served and the public is invited.
