The Roadrunners advanced to the finals of the Division II playoffs with the win over Mercer. Angela Robinson allowed only four hits in rising to 15-2. Laren Toomey added a two-run single in the fifth inning and Cassie Johnson and Leah Conley also knocked in runs. DelTech faces Lackawanna in the finals on Sunday, April 29, at 10 a.m. The winner moves on to the conference finals May 5-6 at Brookdale.
The Roadrunners swept to the championship of the Delaware Tech-Stanton Tournament without a loss.
DelTech nipped Lackawanna (Pa.) Community College in the championship game, 6-5, on Sunday, March 25.
Pitcher Angela Robinson was named the tournament's most valuable player and center fielder Amy Griffith was named to the all-tournament team.
In the title game, Robinson singled home Lauren Toomey and Traci Bixler with the winning runs in the eighth inning.
Robinson earned two wins on the mound on Saturday, March 24, in a 4-1 victory over Hudson (N.Y.) Community College and a 9-6 win over Brookdale (N.J.) Community College.
Rachel Morris hurled a one-hitter in a 13-1 victory over Suffolk (N.Y.) Community College on Saturday.
Morris then earned her sixth win of the year in a 15-5 win over Suffolk on Sunday.
In the six-team, double-elimination tournament, the Roadrunners had 40 hits with Lean Coney belting two home runs, two doubles and two triples for 10 RBI.
Bixler, Robinson and Cassie Johnson each doubled and Robinson and Griffith tripled two times apiece.

The Roadrunners swept visiting Anne Arundel to rise to 9-1 overall.
Morris rose to 4-0 with a no-hitter in the nightcap, which was shortened to five innings by the slaughter rule. She struck out three and walked one. Angela Robinson pitched a complete game in the first game with seven strikeouts and three walks to rise to 4-1.
DelTech rebounded from a 2-0 deficit in the first game with eight runs in the fifth and sixth innings.
The Roadrunners scored their first run in the fourth inning when Cassie Johnson singled and scored on Leah Conley's triple. Conley did more damage in the sixth with a three-run double. Traci Bixler added a two-run double and Stephanie Lankford poked an RBI-single in the sixth, as well.
In the second game, the Roadrunners scored seven runs in the first inning sparked by Conley's three-run home run and an RBI-double by Robinson.
Amy Griffith knocked in a run with a triple in the second inning and Lauren Toomey delivered a run-scoring single in the third.
