Milford 11, Cape Henlopen 10 (8 innings) The Bucs won the game in the bottom of the eighth on a bases-loaded walk by Craig Retzlaff. In rising to 7-5 overall, Milford had to overcome three runs by Cape in the top of the eighth. Kyle Hostetler had three hits for the Bucs including a pair of doubles. The Bucs collected 14 hits in the game. Milford 7, Sussex Tech 1 The Bucs used Josh Marvel's grand slam in the fifth inning to bust the game open. Jesse Retzlaff and Matt Bailey combined on the mound, scattering seven hits. Milford 12, Delmar 6 The Bucs won their second straight to start the season behind home runs from Matt Byrum and Brock Tinley. Jesse Retzlaff picked up the win in relief of starter Gordy Quillen. Byrum, Retzlaff and Tinley all doubled, as well. The Bucs took a 6-1 lead after the first two innings and extended it to 8-1 after four. Milford 2, Laurel 1 The Bucs opened up with a tense victory behind pitchers Gordy Quillen and Kyle Short. The duo combined on a no-hitter with 10 strikeouts between them. Short picked up the win.
