Friday, May 4, 2001 Sussex Central 7, Sussex Tech 0 The Golden Knights got a three-hit shutout from Amanda Hastings to beat their arch-rivals. Kaneisha Trott backed Hastings with three doubles. Susan Baker went 3-for-4 with a double and Christina Brock added another double. Central blew the game open with five runs in the fourth inning. Monday, April 9, 2001 Cape Henlopen 5, Sussex Central 3 The Golden Knights took a 3-2 lead over the unbeaten Vikings but Cape responded with three runs in the bottom of the third inning for the decisive runs. Amanda Bowman doubled in a run and Kaneisha Trott singled in another for the Knights. Thursday, March 29, 2001 Seaford 6, Sussex Central 4 The Golden Knights led 2-0 before Seaford pushed across five runs in the fourth inning. Losing pitcher Amanda Hastings did well at the plate with two singles and one RBI. Tuesday, March 27, 2001 Sussex Central 2, Polytech 0 The Golden Knights started the 2001 season with a Henlopen Conference win behind a sterling performance from pitcher Amanda Hastings. Hastings pitched a two-hitter with seven strikeouts for the win. Beth Moore doubled and scored a run and Suzanne Baker scored the Knights' other run.
