Seaford 7, Smyrna 0 The Blue Jays, ranked 9th in the state, pummeled Smyrna in a Henlopen Conference match punctuated by freshman goalkeeper Heather Bleile's eighth shutout of the season. Freshman Shannon Taylor and Alise Wynn scored three goals apiece for Seaford, while Mary Wheatley added the other goal. Casey O'Brien registered three assists. Seaford 6, Sussex Central 0 The Blue Jays remained unbeaten and unscored on behind the freshmen duo of midfielder Shannon Taylor and goalkeeper Heather Bleile. Taylor scored three goals while Bleile recorded her third consecutive shutout with four saves. Casey O'Brien contributed two goals to the conference win and Jennifer Willis added another. Seaford 1, Dover 0 Freshman midfielder Shannon Taylor and freshman goalie Heather Bleile again sparked the Blue Jays to a Henlopen Conference triumph. Taylor scored the match's only goal on a penalty kick in the first half while Bleile registered two saves for her second consecutive shutout. Despite the close score, Seaford dominated the match with a 24-2 edge in shots and a 12-3 edge in corner kicks. Seaford 3, Indian River 0 The Blue Jays started their season with a victory behind a pair of freshmen. Freshman midfielder Shannon Taylor scored two goals and freshman goalie Heather Bleile recorded the shutout with 10 saves to lead the Henlopen Conference win.
