Caravel 73, Cape Henlopen 45
The Vikings' season ended with the loss to the top-seeded Bucs.
Cape, the 16th seed, finished its season at 15-9. Caravel, at 18-5, advances to a quarterfinal matchup with Henlopen Conference champion Seaford on Monday, March 5.
Cape fell behind 39-21 at halftime and couldn't recover as they scored just 6 points in the third period.
The Vikings were led by leading scorer Toni Jones, a sophomore, with 16 points. Lindsey Williams added 14.
Caravel was led by Tiaria Malcolm and Davineta Payne with 25 and 24 points, respectively.

Cape Henlopen 66, Sussex Tech 51
The Vikings advanced into the state tournament's second round and avenged a loss two weeks earlier to Tech in the first round game at Sussex Central.
The Vikings, seeded 16th at 15-8, now take on top-seeded Caravel Academy in the second round at Polytech at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 2. Caravel, which had a first round bye, is 17-5.
Against Tech, Cape forced 29 turnovers and collected 16 steals. The pressure led to a 12-0 run early in the game and never allowed Tech back into the game.
The Vikings, behind sophomore Toni Jones and Andrea Casey, rolled to a 29-17 halftime lead.
Jones finished with a game-high 25 points and Casey scored 11 points in the first half.
Tech shot just 11-for-37 from the field.
Caesar Rodney 47, Cape Henlopen 44
The Vikings concluded the regular season by nearly upsetting the unbeaten Riders. Cape actually led CR by 11 points at halftime thanks to a 23-7 edge in the second period keyed by Toni Jones' 8 points. Jones finished with a game-high 20 points. CR, the Henlopen North champion, went 19-0 in the conference.
Sussex Tech 48, Cape Henlopen 36
The Vikings dropped an important Henlopen North game. Toni Jones led Cape with 16 points while Lindsey Williams contributed 10.
Cape Henlopen 65, Polytech 47
The Vikings put on one of their best performances of the season with the surprisingly easy victory over one of the Henlopen North's best teams. Toni Jones led the way with a triple-double 32 points, 10 assists and 12 rebounds. Lindsey Williams added 15 points for Cape, which blew open what was a two-point game at halftime in the second half. The victory avenged a loss to Polytech in December.
Cape Henlopen 46, Milford 45
The Vikings overcame a third period deficit to squeak past the Bucs in a Henlopen North contest. Cape led 23-18 at halftime but found itself behind 34-32 entering the fourth quarter. Toni Jones led the Vikings with 18 points. Andrea Carey scored 9.
Cape Henlopen 57, Lake Forest 34
The Vikings snapped a two-game losing streak with an impressive victory. Cape led 38-28 entering the final quarter and put the game out of reach with a 19-6 advantage in that period.
St. Mark's 65, Cape Henlopen 38
The Vikings suffered their second straight loss to the upstate powers in a nonconference game. Andrea Carey scored 12 points while leading scorer Toni Jones was held well below her average with 9 points. Cape dropped to 8-5 overall.
Seaford 58, Cape Henlopen 39
The Vikings dropped a critical conference contest to the leaders of the Henlopen South despite a game-high 28-point performance from Toni Jones.
Cape Henlopen 55, Woodbridge 23
The Vikings rolled to the conference victory behind Toni Jones' 19 points. Amanda Warrington scored 10 points for Cape, which roared to a 37-14 halftime lead against the winless Blue Raiders.
Cape Henlopen 52, Indian River 50 (OT)
The Vikings beat the rival Indians on a pair of free throws by Toni Jones with seven seconds remaining in overtime. Jones scored a game-high 20 points for Cape. The Vikings trailed by three points in regulation before Lindsey Williams drained a three-pointer with 30 seconds left.
Cape Henlopen 68, Laurel 53
The Vikings rose to 7-2 in the conference and 7-3 overall behind Toni Jones, Andrea Carey and Amanda Warrington. Jones and Carey scored 17 points apiece while Warrington added 12 more. Cape led 39-26 at halftime but saw Laurel claw back to within 52-48 entering the final period. Cape outscored Laurel 16-5 in the final quarter to put the game away.
Cape Henlopen 58, Delmar 43
The Vikings broke away from a 25-25 halftime tie for a win over the Southern Division Wildcats. Toni Jones scored a team-high 21 points. Amanda Warrington scored a season-high 14 points and Erin Williams added 8 more. The Vikings rose to 6-2 with the victory.
Cape Henlopen 49, Dover 40
The Vikings took a 30-15 halftime lead and cruised to the Henlopen North triumph. Toni Jones scored 12 points for the winners. The victory raised Cape to 5-2 in the division and overall.
Caesar Rodney 60, Cape Henlopen 48
The Vikings fell to the unbeaten defending Henlopen North champions after trailing by only two points entering the fourth period. Toni Jones and Andrea Carey scored 16 points apiece for Cape. The loss left the Vikings with records of 4-2 in the division and overall.
Cape Henlopen 45, Sussex Central 27
The Vikings won their second in a row behind 19 points from Toni Jones. Andrea Carey scored 12 more points for Cape, which led by 10 points at halftime. The Vikings are now 4-1 in the North and overall.
Cape Henlopen 53, Sussex Tech 48
The Vikings got back on the winning track behind Toni Jones and Andrea Carey, who scored 18 points apiece. Cape rose to 3-1 overall and in the North with the win. The game was close throughout but Cape pulled it out with an 11-8 advantage in the fourth quarter.
Polytech 56, Cape Henlopen 37
The Vikings suffered their first loss as they succumbed to the 34 points of Polytech sophomore Tyresa Smith. The Vikings trailed the unbeaten Panthers by just 27-21 at halftime but were outscored 19-5 in the third period. Toni Jones led the Vikings with 17 points. Lindsey Williams added 9.
Cape Henlopen 54, Milford 32
The Vikings improved to 2-0 overall and in the conference with the Henlopen North triumph. Toni Jones sparked Cape with a game-high 18 points. Amanda Warrington added 9 more. The Vikings led 17-3 after the first quarter and 36-10 at halftime.
Cape Henlopen 60, Dover 24
The Vikings started their season with an easy win behind Toni Jones' career-high 39 points. Andrea Carey contributed 11 points for Cape, which led by 20 points at halftime. Jones put in 17 field goals including two three-pointers and hit 3 of 5 free throws.
