Indian River 51, Dover 24 In a dual meet rescheduled from Wednesday, Feb. 14, the Indians got off to a fast start on a pin by Pat Devine at 103 and forfeits in the next three matches to go up 24-0. Luis Perez and Tim Butter registered pins at 152 and 160. Indian River 60, Woodbridge 22 The Indians rolled to the easy Henlopen South victory with a pair of pins and six forfeits. Quinn Revel and Shane Reid recorded the pins at 135 and 171, respectively. Lake Forest 52, Indian River 20 The Indians lost the last five matches by pin, major decision or forfeit to drop the Henlopen South dual meet. IR trailed just 28-24 before those last five matches. Luis Perez won by a pin at 152 for IR, and Will Saylor won by a technical fall at 103. The Indians also got decisions from Tyrice Nocks at 125, Curtis Harne at 135, and Danny Carroll at 145. Caesar Rodney 48, Indian River 19 The Indians gave the state's top-ranked team a good battle until the last six matches when they had to forfeit twice and were either pinned or beaten by technical fall in the others. Until CR started its late rally in the 152-pound match, IR led 19-15. The Indians won five of the first eight matches and of theier three losses in those matches, two were by forfeit. Will Saylor got the Indians started with a decision at 103. Tan Giang then put IR ahead 9-0 with a pin at 112. Quinn Revel recorded a major decision at 130 and Curtis Harne and Danny Carroll both won by decision at 135 and 145, respectively. Sussex Tech 38, Indian River 36 The Indians had a 36-20 lead until a loss by pin at 171 and forfeit losses at 189 and 215 gave the match to Tech. Curtis Harne recorded a pin for IR at 135 and Quentin Middleton closed the dual meet out with a pin at heavyweight. Indian River 40, Cape Henlopen 36 The Indians won the match in exciting fashion as heavyweight Quentin Middleton recorded a pin in 3:34 for the victory. Milford 39, Indian River 25 The Indians got a pin from Will Saylor at 112 in just 56 seconds in the Henlopen Conference loss. Smyrna 40, Indian River 23 The Indians lost four of the last five matches to fall to the unbeaten Eagles. Matt Manley recorded a pin for IR at 112 and Quinn Middleton won by pin at heavyweight. Will Saylor (103), Tyrice Nock (125), Quinn Revel (140), Danny Carroll (145), Luis Perez (152) all won by decision. Indian River 46, Delmar 28 The Indians used five pins to win the Henlopen South dual meet. Recording those pins were Tyrice Nocks at 125, Curtis Harne at 135, Quinn Revel at 140, Danny Carroll at 145, and Luis Perez at 171. Laurel 45, Indian River 27 The Indians dropped their season- and conference-opener with three forfeits providing Laurel's margin of victory. Will Saylor won by technical fall at 112 and Danny Carroll by pin at 145 for the Indians. Tyrice Nock and Luis Perez both won by decisions.
