Indian River 81, Laurel 55 The Bulldogs trailed by only two points at halftime but were outscored 45-22 in the second half. Artie Savage was Laurel's high scorer in the Henlopen South game with 18 points. He hit 2 three-pointers. Woodbridge 64, Laurel 58 The Bulldogs got 16 points from Jackie Taylor but it wasn't enough to prevent the Henlopen South defeat. Artie Savage added 11 points for Laurel. Smyrna 72, Laurel 52 The Bulldogs dropped the Henlopen South contest that saw 12 three-pointers between the teams. Artie Savage and Patrick Belle led Laurel with 14 points apiece. Laurel 57, Polytech 48 The Bulldogs were no match for Cape Henlopen. Laurel put no players in double figures but had seven players with at least 5 points led by Trey Elzey's 7 points and Dante Penn's 6 points. Crisfield (Md.) 62, Laurel 46 The Bulldogs stayed close with the Crabbers from Maryland until the fourth quarter of the Salisbury Lions Club Holiday Tournament. Laurel 60, North Dorchester 56 The Bulldogs won their first game in the Salisbury Lions Club Holiday Tournament behind Artie Savage's game-high 27 points. Indian River 60, Laurel 55 The Bulldogs led the division leaders by a point at halftime but were outscored by five points in the third quarter and couldn't recover in the Henlopen South contest. Artie Savage led the Bulldogs with 22 points. Seaford 61, Laurel 59 The Bulldogs got off to another slow start that they couldn't come back all the way from. Laurel fell behind 15-3 before rallying to make it close at the end. Patrick Belle and Artie Savage led the Bulldogs with 19 and 17 points, respectively. Lake Forest 72, Laurel 49 The Bulldogs fell behind 21-5 after the first period and never recovered. Artie Savage scored 14 points and Patrick Bell 12 for Laurel. Delmar 82, Laurel 68 The Bulldogs dropped their season-opener to their rivals. Laurel was never in the game as it was outscored 28-13 in the first period. Laurel was led by Artie Savage's 14 points and Trey Elzey's 10 points. |
