The Golden Knights clinched a tie for the Henlopen North crown with the easy division win.
With just two games left in the regular season, Sussex Central, at 15-2 in the North, leads second-place Sussex Tech, at 13-4, by two games.
The Knights need only a victory against Cape Henlopen at home on Thursday, Feb. 15, or a win at Sussex Tech on Feb. 20, to clinch the title and a berth in the Henlopen Conference championship game on Tuesday, Feb. 27, against South champion Lake Forest.
A loss by Tech to Central on Feb. 20 or at Lake Forest on Feb. 15 would also give Central the title.
If, however, the Knights were to lose both of their last two games and Tech was to beat Central on Feb. 20 and Lake Forest on Feb. 15, the two teams would be tied and would play a playoff game on Saturday, Feb. 24, to determine the North champion.
In the win over Polytech, Sussex Central controlled the 2-18 Panthers from start to finish. Central blew the game open in the third quarter with an 18-2 advantage.
Center James Cannon led the Knights with 17 points, while forward Orlando Farrow and guard Leroy Mann added 15 and 11 points, respectively.
