Polytech 43, Sussex Central 27 The Knights couldn't stay with the Northern Division's second-place team. Lisa Angel led Sussex Central with 9 points. Kaneisha Trott contributed 8 more. Sussex Central 33, Dover 32 The Golden Knights rallied from a 20-12 deficit after three quarters behind Kaneisha Trott and Lisa Angel. Trott pumped in a game-high 13 points and Angel added 8 more. Caesar Rodney 52, Sussex Central 43 The Golden Knights surprised the state's 7th-ranked team with a 14-3 advantage in the second quarter for a 21-14 halftime lead, but the Riders, unbeaten in the conference at 13-0, used a 22-12 advantage in the final period to secure the win. Kaneisha Trott and Hatton led the Knights with 15 points apiece. Sussex Central 42, Indian River 34 The Golden Knights scored bragging rights with the win over district rival Indian River. Kaneisha Trott led the way with a monster performance of 18 points and 15 rebounds. Smyrna 32, Sussex Central 24 The Golden Knights led 13-11 at halftime but were outscored 9-0 in the third quarter in falling to 3-6. Kaneisha Trott was the only double figure scorer for Central with 14 points. Sussex Tech 35, Lake Forest 24 Led by Kaneisha Trott, the Golden Knights broke open a one-point game at halftime. Trott scored a game-high 18 points to spark the Knights, who scored just 5 points in the first period but added 30 over the final three quarters. Sussex Tech 43, Sussex Central 33 The Golden Knights dropped their fifth straight game after falling behind their rivals by 13 points at halftime. Kaneisha Trott scored a game-high 16 points in a losing cause. She hit 8 of her 9 free throws. Lisa Angel contributed 11 points. Mardela (Md.) 69, Sussex Central 44 The Golden Knights dropped the consolation game of the Mardela (Md.) Tournament to fall to 2-5 overall with their fourth straight defeat. Lisa Angel scored a game-high 20 points for the Knights. Charmaine Reed added 11 more. The Knights trailed 42-14 at halftime. Cape Henlopen 45, Sussex Central 27 The Golden Knights fell behind by 10 points at halftime and couldn't catch up. Kaneisha Trott led Central with 9 points. Carmelle Mumford scored 8 more. The Knights are now 2-3 in the division and overall. Polytech 40, Sussex Central 35 The Golden Knights slipped to 2-2 after losing a 13-2 first quarter lead in the Henlopen North game. Kaneisha Trott scored 15 points to lead Sussex Central, which was outscored 20-6 in the second period. Sussex Central 46, Milford 36 The Golden Knights improved to 2-1 overall and in the Henlopen North behind Kaneisha Trott's season-high 25 points. Trott, one of the conference's best free throw shooters, sank 11 of her 15 free throws and went 6-for-8 in the fourth quarter. Sussex Central 35, Dover 31 The Golden Knights evened their record behind 14 points from Kaneisha Trott. Charmaine Reed added 12 points as Sussex Central rose to 1-1 overall and in the Henlopen North. Caesar Rodney 67, Sussex Central 36 Sussex Central fell behind early against the defending Henlopen Conference Northern Division champions and never recovered. Kaneisha Trott led the Knights with 12 points including 6 of 7 free throws. |
