Dover 42, Indian River 33 The Indians finished their Henlopen Conference dual meet season with a 2-11 record. Shane Reid and Pat Devine posted pins for the Indians at 171 and 112, respectively. Will Saylor won by technical fall at 119, while Gene Midgette registered a major decision in the heavyweight match. Winning by decisions werer Graham Essender at 119 and Tim Butters at 145. Seaford 53, Indian River 15 The Indians got their second Henlopen Conference dual meet victory of the season behind pins from Pat Devine at 112 and Graham Essender at 119. The win ended a losing streak of six straight dual meets for IR. Indian River is 2-10 in conference dual meets. Seaford 53, Indian River 15 The Indians got a pin from Will Saylor at 119 and decisions from Shane Reid at 171, Gene Midgette at heavyweight, and Pat Devine at 112. Lake Forest 56, Indian River 18 The Indians got 12 of their points on forfeits and the other six on a pin by Billy Hall. Defending state champion Will Saylor was upset at 125 on a pin by Lake Forest's Mitch Harding. Caesar Rodney 66, Indian River 0 The Indians were shut out by the six-time defending Henlopen Conference champions including a 9-2 loss by defending state champion Will Saylor to CR's Garrett Faulkner at 125. Sussex Tech 49, Indian River 25 The Indians dropped the Henlopen Conference dual meet after surrendering six of the first seven matches toSussex Tech. Winning for the Indians were Pat Devine by pin at 112, Will Saylor by pin at 119, and Shane Reid by pin at 171. Tim Butters recorded a major decision at 160 and Gene Midgette registered a decision in the heavyweight match. Cape Henlopen 56, Indian River 17 The Indians ' lone pin came from heavyweight Gene Midgette. Shane Reid won by major decision at 171, while Pat Devine (112) won by decision at 112 and Graham Essender won by decision at 119. Polytech 57, Indian River12 The Indians surrendered four pins and two forfeits in the Henlopen conference loss. Billy Hall recorded IR's only pin at 152, while Pat Devine and Gene Midgette won their matches by decision at 112 and heavyweight, respectively. Indian River 49, Delmar 21 The Indians recorded their first dual meet victory with the Henlopen Conference win. The Indians used four pins and two technical falls to subdue Delmar. Recording pins for IR were Pat Devine at 112, McKinee Middleton at 135, Jeff Cook at 171 and Jeremy Showell at 189. Technical falls were posted by Will Saylor at 119 and Danny Carroll at 160. The Indians Also got decisions from Tim Butters at 145 and Billy Hall at 152. Milford 68, Indian River 4 The Indians' only points in the Henlopen Conference dual meet came from a pin by Will Saylor at 125. Milford took advantage of four forfeits and two disqualifications that cost the Indians 2 team points. IR is now 0-4 in the conference and overall. Smyrna 69, Indian River 9 The Indians ran into another Henlopen Conference power as they remained winless in dual meets. The Indians did get a pin from defending state champion Will Saylor. IR is now 0-3 in the conference and overall. Sussex Central 70, Indian River 9 The Indians were no match for their powerhouse district rivals as they forfeited seven matches to fall to 0-2 in the Henlopen Conference and overall. Defending state champion Will Saylor won by pin at 125 to lead the Indians against Sussex Central. Shane Reid posted the Indians' other victory with a decision at 171. Laurel 52, Indian River 21 The Indians surrendered three forfeits as they lost an early lead in their dual meet opener. IR jumped out to a 15-6 lead on the strength of a pin by Pat Devine at 112 and a technical fall by Will Saylor at 125, but Laurel reeled off six consecutive wins to take control.
